Court Order Zenith Bank To Unfreeze Ekiti State Governor's Account

The Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has won in court against the allegation put on by the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as a Federal High Court ordered Zenith Bank to unfreeze his account. The Federal High Court located in Ado Ekiti has ordered Zenith Bank on Tuesday to immediately unfreeze the accounts of Governor, Ayodele Fayose. According to the ruling by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, he ruled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission did not follow the laid down regulations in ordering the bank to freeze the accounts. The Nigerian Senate has stated that the ponzi investment scheme, MMM , is a pyramid that would soon collapse, warning Nigerians to be wary of the Russian originated investment model which involves directing clients to make money available for an anonymous person with a promise of 30 per cent return within one month . The Chairman , Senate Committee on Banking , Insurance and other Financial Institutions, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim and other members of the committee alerted Nigerians to the dangers of buying in to MMM , while speaking in an interview . Nigeria Youths Introduce Local Toothpicks And Pencils In Akure.

Nigeria youths have established toothpicks and pencils in Akure, the Ondo State capital, under the sponsorship of the National Directorate of Employment. The establishment, where over 250 graduates are currently working, is said to be the first of its kind across Africa. The local toothpicks production in country was said to have been conceived by a young graduate who convinced the management of the National Directorate of Employment that the product could be produced with bamboo stems. At the inauguration of the factory in Akure, the Acting Director-General of the NDE, Mr. Kunle Obayan, said the NDE’s sponsorship of the project was part of the agency’s effort towards complementing the micro-economic policies of the Federal Government, aimed at stimulating local production of goods. Power Distribution Companies Submit Increasement In Electricity Tariff Proposal

There is probabilities of an increase in electricity tariff being paid by residential consumers as the power distribution companies submit a proposal to raise the average energy charge to N105 per kilowatt-hour from the current rate of 22.8KWH if is  approved by the Government. The increasement is coming less than eight months after about 45 per cent increase in tariff was imposed on electricity consumers nationwide. The electricity firm attributed their latest push for tariff increase to high inflation rate, scarcity of foreign exchange, devaluation of the naira and the huge debts being owed them.   The Distribution companies said they had hinted the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission on the proposal but no action had been taken towards it. Is  a Nigerian accountant  and the 51st Ooni  of Ife.  He succeeded the late Oba  Okunade Sijuwade  who died on July 28, 2015.  Is  a joyous man. Actress Carey Mulligan join the protesters who left teddy bears outside the gates of Downing Street in protest at the continuous deadly attacks on Aleppo . About hundreds gathered in London's Whitehall to call the attention of the Government to do more to put an end to the civilian deaths in the Syrian conflict. The teddy bears represented the thousands of children trapped in rebel-held eastern areas of the city. The Syrian government regime recently stepped up attacks, with civilians being pulled dead from the rubble after numerous devastating barrel bombings.
