Real Madrid a Dream Club For Every Player

Paul Pogba Paul Pogba has described Real Madrid as "a dream club for every player" but says he is happy at Manchester United. The midfielder, 26, has praised caretaker-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but says Real represent "a dream for every kid, for every football player". "It's one of the biggest clubs in the world. I've always said Real Madrid is a dream club for every player," Pogba told a news conference in France. "At the moment I'm happy in Manchester. I play. There's a new coach." Pogba is set to feature in Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova on Friday and Iceland on Monday.

The Nigeria hip-pop artist Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, known by his stage name Blackface throws shades at 2Face Idibia  in his latest song   and he has come out to explain his reason for doing that. Blackface revealed this during an exclusive interview with blogger, Linda Ikeji.  According to him, it is only normal in the music industry to call someone names when 'dissing' them. Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, says Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), will be renamed after late Olusegun Agagu, former governor of the state Akeredolu disclosed this during a tour of Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday. He urged the two newly-elected House of Assembly members representing Okitipupa 1 and 2 constituencies to move the motion for renaming the university.  According to the governor, it is a decision that can only be taken by the House of Assembly and he urged them to move the motion as their first assignment.  “You know we have Adekunle Ajasin University in Akungba and it won’t be bad to have Olusegun Agagu University in Okitipupa.

Nigeria To Prosecute Parents Who Denying Children Educational Right

The Nigeria's minister of education Mr Adam Adam has warned that parents who refuse to send their children to school will be prosecuted. Adamu Adamu said criminalising parents would help reduce the number of children not in education. Many parents complain they lack the money to send their children school and instead send them onto the streets and into markets to hawk items. The BBC's Jimeh Saleh says failure in the education system in recent years is due to a lack of government funding. Chinese Buyer Bid $1.4million For Pigeon

Armando A star racing pigeon named Armando has fetched a record 1.25 million euros (about $1.4 million) in an online auction, Belgian media reported Sunday.  A Chinese buyer bid more than $1.4 million for a prized Belgian racing pigeon in an "unprecedented" sale, according to the auctioneer that organized the sale. Armando, is considered to be the best long-distance racing pigeon "of all time" according to PIPA, the website that organized the sale. The bird has been dubbed by some as the Lewis Hamilton of racing pigeons, in reference to the Formula One racing driver. "This type of champion is rarely offered for sale," the site said. The price spike came in the final hours of bidding, as two Chinese fanciers kept one-upping each other. The price went from about $600,000 to $1.4 million in about an hour, PIPA said. 1,000 Dead As Widespread Flooding Left Whole Villages Submerged

Cyclone Idai may have killed more than 1,000 people in Mozambique, President Filipe Nyusi said in an address on national radio Monday. It is thought to have been the most destructive storm to have hit the southeast African nation in more than 10 years.  The widespread flooding has left whole villages submerged and bodies were floating in the water, as some areas were completely cut off by road.  Mozambique's president Filipe Nyusi said the official number of dead was 84 but added 'it appears that we can register more than 1,000 deaths'. Nyusi was speaking after taking a flight over affected areas to view the destruction and rescue efforts. He called the situation a "real humanitarian disaster of large proportions." "Waters from the rivers Pungue and Buzi have broken their banks, wiping out entire villages, isolating communities and we could see, as we flew above, bodies floating," the President said. Karen Uhlenbeck, a mathematician and emeritus professor at the University of Texas at Austin, is now the first woman to win the Abel Prize for mathematics. An American professor has become the first woman to be awarded the Abel Prize, one of the world’s most prestigious international mathematics awards. The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters announced in Oslo on Tuesday that Karen Keskulla Uhlenbeck of the University of Texas at Austin was this year’s winner of the prize, seen by many as the Nobel Prize in mathematics. The prize was first awarded in 2003 to honor the 19th-century Norwegian mathematician Niels Henrik Abel  worth 6m Norwegian kroner ($704,000). .
