 Hon. Olatoye Temitope  Five suspects has been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Olatoye Temitope popularly as Sugar.  Hon Olatoye was killed during the presidential and National Assembly elections in Ibadan, Oyo State. Force public relations officer, Mr. Frank Mba, confirmed the arrest of four more suspects in connection with the murder of the lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency.  He said that one of them was shot while trying to evade arrest.  The suspects, according to Mba, are the chief whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Lafisoye Akinmoyede, 54; Alhaji Rafiu Adebayo, 68; Taofeek Adebayo a.k.a Ejo, 39, Alhaji Rasheed Oladele, 66, and Mutiu Oguntola, 28. Okorocha of Imo State, has accused the governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha, of being interested only in the state treasury, even as he said that his successor has no constitutional powers to issue directives to banks when he has not yet been sworn in as governor. According to a statement issued by  Okorocha's  Chief Press Secretary on Friday in Owerri, said the governor-elect was “behaving like a typical member of the Peoples Democratic Party;” and that he is “only interested in the state treasury.” Okorocha asked Ihedioha to exercise patience until May 29 before he starts issuing directives to banks on the state’s financial dealings. A three-storey building under construction had collapsed suddenly in Ibadan, with several people injured and others trapped underneath on Friday. No death has been recorded as at the time of filing this report. Eyewitnesses said the building, located in Sogoye, along Bode, Molete area of Ibadan, Oyo State, had collapsed suddenly while still under construction, with several people injured and others trapped underneath. Oyo State Government spokesman, Mr. Toye Arulogun, said the government was on top of the situation. Arulogun said, “We have deployed two excavators there. Our officials are right there now, to rescue trapped victims. There is no cause for alarm.”

Barcelona  will play Manchester United in the Champions League quarter-finals, while  Tottenham  have been drawn against  Manchester City. Last year's beaten finalists Liverpool will play Porto, and Ajax will face Juventus in the other ties.
