Ooni Of Ife Oba Ogunwusi Celebrate 42 Birthday

His royal highness the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi,who was born October 17, 1974. Is a Nigerian accountant and the 51st Ooni of Ife. He succeeded the late Oba Okunade Sijuwade who died on July 28, 2015.

 Is a joyous man. His joy is thickset like an almond tree, whose boughs are bent and twisted with luscious fruit. Ooni Ogunwusi is indeed full of bliss and gratitude as he celebrate his 42 birthday. The tall and handsome monarch having reduced his travels up and down, the celebration was done in a lowkey tone in his house . The humble, peace-loving and forward thinking king celebrated with his subjects as well-wishers from home and abroad trooped in to show him respect which all says it deserves.

Though there wasn’t much publicity of the event, it was gathered that the Ife monarch hosted a little reception for guests in his palace. He further displayed rare humility as he chose to trek from his palace to his father’s house.

Ooni Ogunwusi who is barely 11 months on the throne has transformed and done a lot in Ife, from promoting the tourism potential of Ile-Ife to the employment of youth, the construction of roads that have been abandonedbt and also, in  January 17, 2016, Ọọ̀ni Ògúnwùsi broke a 79 year-old antagonism between the thrones of Ifẹ and Ọ̀yọ́ by visiting the Aláàfin, the first of such visits in eight decades by an Ifẹ monarch.
