Ajimobi Appoint The Polytechnic Ibadan New Rector
The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has approved the appointment of Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi as the Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, as well as other management staff.
According to a statement by the state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Toye Arulogun, on Monday, other appointments approved by the governor were; Registrar, Mrs Modupe Fawole; Bursar, Mr Olawale Ojesola; Chief Librarian, Dr Samuel Ajala and Director of Works and Services, Stephen Ipadeola.
Professor Adebiyi would to take over from the acting rector of the institution, Femi Ipadeola, in substantive capacity.
Recall in February, Dr Ipadeola, formerly the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies (FBCS) of the institution was named Rector in an acting capacity. But his short reign has now been halted.
It been reveals that the outgoing governor also approved the appointments of other principals of the institution.

“Other appointments approved are Mrs Modupe Fawole, as the Registrar, Mr Olawale Ojesola as Bursar, Dr Samuel Ajala as Chief Librarian and Mr Stephen Ipadeola as Director of Works and Services.”
He explains that the appointments became imperative following the expiration of the tenure of the erstwhile Management Staff of the institution on February 13.
He says that interviews were conducted by the institution’s governing council and the selection process moderated by some external faculties.
Also, he stresses that the appointments take immediate effect, stating that the government looks forward to their hard work, diligence and professionalism in realizing its mission for the institution.
