Finalists Students Cry Over Unreleased Result.

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic ( MAPOLY ) indignant Finalists on Monday protest on the streets of Abeokuta, over unreleased results of the final years Higher National Diploma students to enable them partake of the April mobilisation for the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC).

It been known that the academic staff of the institution has been in battle with the Ogun State government since the conversion of the polytechnic to Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology, refused to mark, collate and grade results of the second semester examination, two months after the students had sat for their final papers.

The protesters seized the entrance to the polytechnic  which is located at Ogere, also shut its gate and barred academic and management staff access to the campus.

Thugs Invade Ogbomoso Polling Unit

Armed thugs invaded Ogbomoso polling unit at Oke Ola Farm Settlement, Unit Four of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area of Oyo State, and carted away thumb-printed ballot papers in all the units in the area. Olamide Adewale, who made a distress call said, “Hoodlums armed to the teeth just invaded unit 4A in Oke Ola farm settlement here in Ogbomoso South local government and forcefully ferried away all the ballot boxes en route Ogbomoso/Oyo road. They went in Oyo direction,” he said. Reports also revealed that the ballot boxes at Ward 3 Unit 3 in Ibadan Northwest were snatched in the presence of security agents around 2pm.
