Adam West Known As Batman Die In Short Battle With Leukemia

American Actor Adam West, best known for playing Batman has died at the age of 88 in Los Angeles on Friday night following a short battle with leukemia.
He died peacefully, and surrounded by family who paid tribute to him in a statement, saying: ‘Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives.
“He was and always will be our hero.”

Adam found fame when he started as Batman in the CBS show which ran from 1966-1968, winning the role after the series producer saw him playing a James Bond-esque character, Captain Quik, in a Nesquik commercial.

Armed thugs invaded Ogbomoso polling unit at Oke Ola Farm Settlement, Unit Four of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area of Oyo State, and carted away thumb-printed ballot papers in all the units in the area. Olamide Adewale, who made a distress call said, “Hoodlums armed to the teeth just invaded unit 4A in Oke Ola farm settlement here in Ogbomoso South local government and forcefully ferried away all the ballot boxes en route Ogbomoso/Oyo road. They went in Oyo direction,” he said. Reports also revealed that the ballot boxes at Ward 3 Unit 3 in Ibadan Northwest were snatched in the presence of security agents around 2pm.
