Military Men Send To Diaso Community Over Captain Death

Military send to the Diaso community in the Upper Denkyira West District of Ghana where an army captain, Adam Mahama, was battering stoned to death after his confounded as an armed robber on Monday.
The following day, military men were dispatched to the town. And about 120 residents were picked up for their involvement in the incident.
information make it known that, troops were going from door to door  investigating to get details that would help identify the slayers.
However, police castigate the military for hampering investigations into the incident and demanding their withdrawal from the town.
ASP Osei-Adu Agyemang, District Police Commander, said the presence of the military in the community was scaring residents which had been truncating the efforts of the police in compiling useful information about the officer’s death.
“Our fear now is the soldiers storming Denkyira Obuasi and most of the people leaving town. It will take time for police to take the possible witnesses to help us speed up investigations,” he said.
The Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul promised that government would investigate thoroughly on the matter.

Armed thugs invaded Ogbomoso polling unit at Oke Ola Farm Settlement, Unit Four of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area of Oyo State, and carted away thumb-printed ballot papers in all the units in the area. Olamide Adewale, who made a distress call said, “Hoodlums armed to the teeth just invaded unit 4A in Oke Ola farm settlement here in Ogbomoso South local government and forcefully ferried away all the ballot boxes en route Ogbomoso/Oyo road. They went in Oyo direction,” he said. Reports also revealed that the ballot boxes at Ward 3 Unit 3 in Ibadan Northwest were snatched in the presence of security agents around 2pm.
