FG Declared May 1 Public Holiday

Federal Government has announce May 1 , 2017 as public holiday to commemorate the 2017 Workers ’ Day celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd . ) , made this known on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement on Friday by the Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary , Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido .
He salute all Nigerian workers for their resilience , hard work and commitment to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari despite current challenges .
And also urged the all Nigerians work to continue to support the President “ in his desire to fight corruption, ensure security of lives and property , and stabilise the economy through the creation of jobs and diversification of the economy . ”

Thugs Invade Ogbomoso Polling Unit

Armed thugs invaded Ogbomoso polling unit at Oke Ola Farm Settlement, Unit Four of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area of Oyo State, and carted away thumb-printed ballot papers in all the units in the area. Olamide Adewale, who made a distress call said, “Hoodlums armed to the teeth just invaded unit 4A in Oke Ola farm settlement here in Ogbomoso South local government and forcefully ferried away all the ballot boxes en route Ogbomoso/Oyo road. They went in Oyo direction,” he said. Reports also revealed that the ballot boxes at Ward 3 Unit 3 in Ibadan Northwest were snatched in the presence of security agents around 2pm.
