A Kenyan Science teacher, Peter Tabichi on Sunday won the 2019 Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize, as recognition for turning lives around in a school with only one computer, poor internet and a student ratio of 58:1. Winning a $1 million prize, Tabichi will also serve as a global ambassador for the Varkey Foundation, attending public events and speaking in public forums about improving the prestige of the teaching profession. He teaches at a rural Kenyan school in Pwani Village, with only one computer, poor internet and a student-teacher ratio of 58:1. Nearly all his students are from poor families, and almost a third of them are orphans or have only one parent. Tabichi gets online educational content by visiting internet cafes and using them offline in class, according to his profile from the Varkey Foundation. Paul Pogba Paul Pogba has described Real Madrid as "a dream club for every player" but says he is happy at Manchester United. The midfielder, 26, has praised caretaker-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but says Real represent "a dream for every kid, for every football player". "It's one of the biggest clubs in the world. I've always said Real Madrid is a dream club for every player," Pogba told a news conference in France. "At the moment I'm happy in Manchester. I play. There's a new coach." Pogba is set to feature in Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova on Friday and Iceland on Monday.

The Nigeria hip-pop artist Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, known by his stage name Blackface throws shades at 2Face Idibia  in his latest song   and he has come out to explain his reason for doing that. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, says Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), will be renamed after late Olusegun Agagu, former governor of the state Akeredolu disclosed this during a tour of Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday. Nigeria To Prosecute Parents Who Denying Children Educational Right

The Nigeria's minister of education Mr Adam Adam has warned that parents who refuse to send their children to school will be prosecuted. Adamu Adamu said criminalising parents would help reduce the number of children not in education. Many parents complain they lack the money to send their children school and instead send them onto the streets and into markets to hawk items. The BBC's Jimeh Saleh says failure in the education system in recent years is due to a lack of government funding.
