The Nigeria worldwide Hip-pop artist David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has sacked his talent manager, Kamal Ajiboye. He also announced that he would be managing himself for the year 2017 because he doesn’t want to put his life in another man’s hand. Ajiboye has worked with the DMW boss for about six years. Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke made the shock announcement via his snapchat on Tuesday “I am my own manager 2017!! Don’t put your life for another man hand,” the 24-year-old singer wrote. “Fuck all that international shit! It’s cool but fuck it. I am back to the basics.” The artist who recently threw shades at D’Banj in a new single, Orekelewa, with DJ Jimmy Jatt, did not give any reason for firing his manager.

Tragedy struck the Ikotun area of Lagos on Tuesday as a mid afternoon fire at Ikuna street area of Ikotun consumed three children of the same parents. The children below the ages of 10 were allegedly locked up inside a room  on the day the fire engulf their one room apartment. Witnesses said the  children, identified as Chiamaka, Emmanuel and Chiagozie, died at Do-alllars Hospital, Ikotun, where they were taken to, for treatment. Their mother identified as Ngozi Ifediba was alleged to have locked the children in the room and went to outside to pick up something from a nearby store. NAN quoted a source as saying one of the victims died shortly after they were brought to the hospital. The source said the fire, which started around 2 pm on Tuesday, was caused by power outage. “One died at 11pm on Tuesday and the second one died 12:30am on Wednesday,” the source said. Medical doctors in Rivers State have threatened to embark on strike if the state government fail to accede to their demands on the issue of poor health facilities and inadequate manpower. The doctor, who spoke under the auspices of the National Association of Government Medical and Dental Practitioners in Rivers State said they would down tools from January 9, 2017 if issues of rot in government health centres, hospitals and inadequate manpower were not addressed. Speaking with newsmen in Obia/Akpor, the Chairman of the association, Dr. Sofiri Peterside, described the proposed strike as the last option should the current administration in the state fail to look into the challenges affecting the operation of the medical service in the state. The Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has won in court against the allegation put on by the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as a Federal High Court ordered Zenith Bank to unfreeze his account. The Federal High Court located in Ado Ekiti has ordered Zenith Bank on Tuesday to immediately unfreeze the accounts of Governor, Ayodele Fayose. According to the ruling by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, he ruled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission did not follow the laid down regulations in ordering the bank to freeze the accounts. The Nigerian Senate has stated that the ponzi investment scheme, MMM , is a pyramid that would soon collapse, warning Nigerians to be wary of the Russian originated investment model which involves directing clients to make money available for an anonymous person with a promise of 30 per cent return within one month .
